Director, Faculty Information Technology Services
Trevor Bain is the Director, Faculty Information Technology Services in Information Systems & Technology (IST).
Prior to joining IST in this role, Trevor served as the IT Director in the Faculty of Health, where he focused on building reliable, client-centered technology services that supported teaching, research, and administration while strengthening alignment with university-wide IST services.
Trevor brings extensive experience from across the University of Waterloo, having previously held positions within both IST and the Faculty of Environment. Before joining the university, he worked in the private sector and provincial government.
As Director, Faculty Information Technology Services, Trevor leads the development of a collaborative and integrated faculty IT service model within IST. He works closely with faculty partners and IST teams to deliver stable, responsive, and consistent technology support for faculty members, researchers, staff, and students.
Trevor holds a Master of Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
