Academic Program Reviews

Academic Program Reviews are a mechanism for regular reviews of all undergraduate programs and graduate programs. The Ontario Council of Academic Vice-Presidents’ Guidelines for University Undergraduate Degree Level Expectations (UUDLEs) and Graduate Degree-level expectations (GDLEs) are the frameworks used for academic reviews.

Institutional Analysis and Planning (IAP) works closely with the Associate Vice-President, Academic, the Graduate Studies Office, and the Quality Assurance Office to coordinate the Academic Program Reviews.  IAP provides support by:

  •  Facilitating access to data for self-study portion of the review
  •  Supporting uWaterloo departments and programs undergoing review  regarding data needs
