Delegates from the East China University of Science and Technology visited the University of Waterloo to discuss Waterloo's internationalization strategy and potential opportunities for research collaborations. As well, the delegates, along with leaders from the University of Waterloo, partook in the signing of a new 2+2 joint academic agreement with the department of Economics.
Joint academic programs offer a unique experience for incoming students. Though the exact amount and sequencing of time spent at each location varies according to the specific program agreement, each joint academic program consists of a first portion of studies that are completed at one's home institution, and the second at Waterloo.
The visit also included a tour of the university's Accelerator Centre, as well as the David Johnston Research and Technology Park.
