Our group was very pleased by some of the positive outcomes we've had since the launch of the IT Advisory Board. We spent this session going over some of the groups accomplishments so far, and had them evaluate our new single page site for Student IT Services
We asked them to take a look at our new site, and tell us what they liked:
Overall impression of this page was excellent, and the group has asked that IST make other pages look like the the new pages (IT Services, Duo, Office 365)
We asked them to take a look at our new site, and tell us what they didn't like:
- Some changes to formatting / font sizes were suggestion
- Adding locations for the faculty service desks was suggested
- After finding their way to the Wi-Fi page, they suggested simplifying this page dramatically and linking out to knowledge base articles where appropriate
We asked for feedback on the IT Advisory Board this term:
- Dates of times for meetings might be easier if set in advance
- Future Topic Suggestions:
- Ask the CIO questions
- Communication
- Quest
- Networking
- Classroom Tech
- Leads
- Campus Apps Team
- Four meetings per term is the right amount
- There was some interest in expanding the scope of the group, to include students in projects/ IST meetings?
- More variety of food was requested
- Brainstorming sessions with technical staff
