MIF Available Positions

The Materials Interface Foundry, Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering (MME) in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo, invites applications from exceptional researchers for multiple positions in the field of Materials Interfaces. 

Candidates must have a proven record of accomplishments in research and development, demonstrated through leading publications and experience in modeling/simulation. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, and hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline with relevant experience. Duties will include undertaking active research.

Postdoctoral researcher

We are seeking a recent PhD graduate to join a postdoctoral fellowship at University of Waterloo. Successful candidates will have an interest in fundamental materials innovations, advanced device design, catalysis for CO2 reduction, catalysis for ammonia synthesis, flexible electronics, neuromorphic computing, and system integration. The candidate should be highly motivated, collaborative, and open-minded. The search is open to candidates with a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, bioengineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biology, chemistry, and physics. Graduate student

We are constantly seeking prospective highly motivated graduate students in the field of catalysis, neuromorphic computing and flexible electronics. Application”.  The Lab offers a highly interdisciplinary research program on materials for clean energy technologies and electronics including material synthesis, characterization, and device fabrication.
