Brok Laschowski and Keaton Inkol have each been awarded the University of Waterloo Engineering Excellence PhD Fellowship (valued at $120,000). Both students also hold Canada-wide doctoral scholarships from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Keaton’s research focuses on model-based control of human-exoskeleton balance and Brok’s research focuses on energy-efficient design and autonomous control of wearable robotic exoskeletons.
