PhD students Brok Laschowski and Keaton Inkol have each been awarded the University of Waterloo Engineering Excellence PhD Fellowship, valued at $120,000. Both are also recipients of the national PhD scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
Keaton’s doctoral research explores model-based control of human and robot balance, and Brok’s research focuses on deep learning for visual perception and environment-adaptive control.
