Brok Laschowski and Keaton Inkol were awarded the University of Waterloo Engineering Excellence PhD Fellowship, valued at $120,000. Both students are also recipients of the national PhD scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
Keaton’s research focuses on model-based control of human and robot balance, while Brok’s research focuses on deep learning for visual intelligence and autonomous robot control. Together, these projects advance the control of biomechatronic systems through computational modeling.
