Professor John McPhee awarded John R. Evans Leaders Fund by Canada Foundation for Innovation

Professors Arash Arami and John McPhee have been awarded the John R. Evans Leaders Fund by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (valued at $182,000) for their collaborative research “Neuromechanics-Based Assistive Robotics: Towards Optimal Personalized Robotic Assistance”. These funds will support purchasing an optical motion capture system, instrumented treadmill, and robotic lower-limb exoskeleton. Arash Arami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
