The Green and Intelligent Automotive (GAIA) Research Facility will allow teams of researchers using the latest tools to develop, test and refine innovations for the next generation of smart, clean vehicles under one roof.

Located in entirely renovated space in the Engineering 3 building on campus, the $10-million lab is the latest infrastructure addition to the Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research (WatCAR), the largest university-based automotive research centre in Canada.
