The University of Waterloo is hosting the event, which will focus on innovative approaches to tackling global health challenges ranging from refugee crises and climate change to epidemic outbreaks.

The forum will feature a keynote address by Lucie Edwards, national chair of partners in health Canada, and former high commissioner to Kenya, South Africa and India. Feridun Hamdullahpur, president and vice-chancellor of Waterloo, and James Rush, dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at Waterloo, will provide opening remarks. The day also features interactive workshops, expert panel discussions and poster presentations.

The forum is a partnership between the University of Waterloo, McMaster University, the University of Toronto and Brock University.
