The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and the Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program at Waterloo are hosting the hackathon, which is for technical and social-minded students to inspire collaboration and social innovation.

The two-day event includes students, community members, researchers and patients living with the neurological diseases. Participants will compete in a pitch competition for a chance to win prizes totalling $40,000 in product development.

Dates: Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6, 2016

Hackathon: Starts on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the Accelerator Centre, 295 Hagey Blvd.

Pitch competition: Starts on Sunday at 3:45 p.m. at the University of Waterloo, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Expansion Building, next to B.C. Matthews Hall, AHS 1689

Participants include undergraduate, graduate, and alumni within five years of graduation.
