This page explains the meanings of the various columns which appear in the “Sittings & Rooms” section of each examination’s main page, as well as in various tables throughout the system. Some terminology used here is explained more fully on the terminology page.

This page refers primarily to the “Sittings & Rooms” section of each examination’s main page, but the same column headings occur throughout the system. All of the information given here will be correct for the “Sittings & Rooms” section; some will be slightly different when the columns occur elsewhere.

Per-Sitting Headings

The columns listed here have one row per sitting.

  • With: The name of the admin unit which is administering this sitting. Typically for midterms there will be a sitting administered by the course to which the examination belongs, and additional sittings administered by “AAS Accommodation”. For finals the primary sitting will typically be administered by “RO Finals”, and in addition to the AAS sitting there may be one administered by “RO Relief”.
  • Start Time: The time at which candidates writing in this sitting will begin. This is a link to a page which displays information for this examination restricted to this sitting.
  • Candidates: This is a multi-column heading covering the following columns:
    • Allocated: The number of candidates selected for this examination allocated to this sitting.
    • Rush: The number of candidates selected for this examination allocated to this sitting who are designated as Rush.
    • Assigned: The number of candidates selected for this examination allocated to this sitting who are designated as Assigned.
    • Unseated: The number of candidates selected for this examination allocated to this sitting who are designated as Assigned but are not yet seated in a particular seat.

    • Available: The number of additional seats available for designation as rush or assigned, based on the examination’s loading standard, the Cram number, and how many seats are already designated as Rush or Assigned.
