The Examination Management System (EMS) may be used to upload and submit final examinations as well as midterms. There are differences however, in the way final examinations are managed within the system.
Instructors who choose to have a final exam scheduled and administered by the Registrar’s Office (RO) have the option of having their exam printed and paid for by the RO. An instructor may choose to submit the exam master via hard copy or by email directly to the Scheduling Office or they can upload a PDF copy into the EMS. Both require submission by the specific exam deadline (which varies according to the date of the exam) and both require the instructor or designated proctors to pick up the printed exams from a secure location at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam.
Instructors may submit a final exam for printing via the EMS if a deadline has passed however, their academic department will be billed for the cost and the instructor will be responsible for taking delivery of the exam papers and ensuring its safe arrival at the exam location at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam.
If a deadline is missed, the instructor must keep in mind that New Media Services will need at least a day or two to print their exam papers, depending on the number of papers required.
