Aida Mollaei is a PhD student at the University of Waterloo under the supervision of Professor Carl Haas and Professor Chris Bachmann. She earned her B.Sc at the University of Tehran in Civil Engineering and her MES at the University of Waterloo in Sustainability Management. Her research is in the field of Circular Economy (CE) in the built environment. She is mostly focused on the currently in-use construction materials and potential approaches to circulate them back into the economy after they reach their end of life. The objective of her research is to develop a framework to estimate the value of in-situ materials.
