Daniel Lopez has lived in Colombia, Puerto Rico, United States, and Canada. He did his computer science bachelors and masters at the Illinois Institute of Technology focusing his research on computer vision and predictive heuristics.  Currently, he is doing research in machine learning for computer vision, specifically object detection, object segmentation, and improving accuracy on sparse features in 2D and 3D data for civil engineering applications. He is also working on a project focusing on exact object detection in point clouds along with Professor Haas.
