"Our paths crossed in the summer of 2016, when the TEK Elders Group asked Kahontakwas to arrange a meeting with Vandana Shiva at the office of the Chiefs of Ontario.

This talking circle was an opportunity for three powerful women, all voices for ecological justice, to share an update on the TEK Elders Group campaign as well as to share thoughts and insights into the current moment we face.

As the moderator, I sought to establish this teaching circle prioritizes Indigenous participants and is geared toward Indigenous audiences and is being recorded for sharing amongst the Anishnaabek Nations engaged in the work of the TEK Elders Group, as well as with Indigenous audiences across what what Anishnaabek refer to in english as Turtle Island."
