The University of Waterloo's Science and Business (SCBUS) program partnered with Thomas A. Blakelock High School's I-STEM program for the 2024-2025 academic year to provide grade 10 students with a unique opportunity to engage in entrepreneurial projects that addressed global challenges, blending scientific inquiry with business acumen.

Ariadne Piperakis, a University of Waterloo alum, is currently enrolled in a Master of Applied Science at the University of Toronto within their Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering.

Vanessa Martinez Storin, a Science and Business student at the University of Waterloo, transformed her passion for photography into a thriving entrepreneurial venture through the Enterprise Co-op (E-Coop) program. As the COO of Virtual Tour Studios, Vanessa developed a business specializing in immersive and interactive virtual tours using AR and VR technology.
