Program Elective Recommendation Notes

• BIOL labs are recommended but not required unless needed to satisfy upper-year courses as prerequisites.
• HRM 200 and MSCI 311 are recommended program electives.
• The represented sequencing of all elective types is suggestive only and can be taken in a different order, and different term, than what is shown, depending on the elective chosen, its term of offering and required requisites.

Continuing in Honours Science and Business (regular and co-op) requires a minimum cumulative overall average of 65% and a minimum cumulative Science average of 65%.

Successful completion requires:

1. 21.0 units distributed as follows:
   • 1.5 CHEM units: CHEM 120, CHEM 120L, CHEM 123, CHEM 123L
   • 8.0 Science units chosen from: BIOL, CHEM, EARTH, PHYS, which must include:
     • 1.0 Year One Science lecture unit (any one set chosen from the following three subject sets):
       • Two 100- or 200-level BIOL courses (exclusive of BIOL 225 and BIOL 280/PHYS 280; may include labs where applicable and if required as prerequisites)
       • EARTH 121, EARTH 121L, EARTH 122, EARTH 122L (must include associated labs)
       • PHYS 111, PHYS 111L, PHYS 112, PHYS 112L or PHYS 121, PHYS 121L, PHYS 122, PHYS 122L (must include associated labs)
     • 1.0 Science lab or lecture unit, inclusive of lab units completed with the chosen Year One Science lecture unit
     • 1.5 units, 200-level
     • 2.0 units, 300-level
     • 2.5 units, 400-level
   • 0.5 program elective unit chosen from: ACTSC 231, AFM 333/ARBUS 301, BET 300, ECON 211, ECON 311, ECON 361, ECON 372, HRM 200, HRM 301, INDEV 100, MSCI 311, MSCI 432, STAT 231, STAT 333
   • 1.0 Science or program elective unit
   • 1.5 AFM units: AFM 123/ARBUS 102, AFM 131/ARBUS 101, AFM 231/LS 283
   • 0.5 CS unit: CS 100
   • 2.5 ECON units: ECON 101, ECON 102, ECON 201, ECON 221, ECON 371
   • 1.0 MATH unit: MATH 127, MATH 128
   • 0.5 MGMT unit: MGMT 220
   • 3.0 SCBUS units: SCBUS 122, SCBUS 123, SCBUS 223, SCBUS 225, SCBUS 323, SCBUS 423
   • 0.5 unit: COMMST 193/ENGL 193
   • 0.5 elective unit, any subject
2. Co-operative program requirements (when applicable).

Additional conditions:

1. A maximum of 1.0 science lab unit, exclusive of CHEM 120L and CHEM 123L, is permitted.
2. A maximum of 2.0 failed units is permitted.

Notes

1. Alternate program electives may be substituted with permission from the academic advisor.
2. Students can choose to emphasize international business with AFM 333 and INDEV 100, entrepreneurism with BET 300 and MSCI 311, technical development with MSCI 311, or strategic operations with ECON 311 and MSCI 311.
3. SCBUS-labelled courses do not count as Science units and are not included in any Science average calculations.
