Board of Governors - Senators Election

Senator to Board of Governors elections are to occur in April. All current and incoming eligible Senators are encouraged to consider running for a Board of Governors opening.

Governor terms will begin September 1, 2026.  Current Senators with terms ending in 2027 or 2028 and Senator-elects who begin their terms on September 1, 2026 are eligible for nomination. Only current Senators will be eligible to vote.

Nominations will be open from Monday, March 30, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and run until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Voting will take place following the Senate meeting commencing April 14 at 9:00 a.m. until April 21, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

On behalf of the University of Waterloo Senate, the following are the results of the Senators to Board of Governors election for terms beginning in the 2026-2027 governance year.
