Because of the specific nature of this community and the University's concern for the welfare of all its members and visitors to the campus, it is forbidden to possess firearms and other offensive weapons on the campus without the express permission of the Director of Police & Parking Services.
Any member who may need to use guns in research on ballistics, or who belongs to a gun club and who lives on campus must store weapons at UW Police Services when not in use.
The owner may retrieve weapons at any time for the purpose of conducting research or for taking the weapon off campus for legitimate purposes.
