Biography
David Borcsok is a Partner at Mucker Capital, a multi-stage venture capital firm with offices in Los Angeles, Austin, and Toronto. He focuses on early-stage technology investments and joined the firm as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence before moving to the investment team.
Previously, David founded Ordinary, a formation-stage and pre-seed consumer venture fund that grew out of the early-stage technology investment strategy he managed as a Fund Manager at the Royal Bank of Canada. He began his career at TrilogyGrowth LP, an early-stage investment firm, and Brown University’s Technology Ventures Office, where he focused on technology commercialization. Over more than 14 years in venture capital, David has led investments in more than 60 companies that have collectively raised billions of dollars in follow-on capital.
David is a Kauffman Fellow and a David Rockefeller Fellow with the Trilateral Commission. He is also a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, Chatham House, the Economic Club of New York, and the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle, and is a New Leader at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.
He serves as a Lieutenant Governor-in-Council appointee to the Board of Governors of the University of Waterloo and is the founder of the Ordinary Foundation, which works to broaden access to economic opportunity.
David holds degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University and Brown University.
