Biography
Dr. Marc Jerry is the President and Vice-Chancellor of Renison University College at the University of Waterloo. He has almost 30 years of post-secondary teaching, research, and leadership experience. He holds degrees in economics, specializing in macroeconomics and econometrics, as well as graduate degrees in theology. Prior to Renison, Dr. Jerry served as President of Luther College at the University of Regina through the pandemic and subsequent recovery. Dr. Jerry has also worked as business faculty (economics, strategy, leadership and governance) for the Donald School of Business (DSB) at Red Deer Polytechnic where he developed and led the Work Integrated Learning program.
Dr. Jerry also served for over 15 years as a tenured professor in the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University (MRU) where he won MRU's prestigious Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award and, as a pilot, was Chair of their Aviation Program. Dr. Jerry also specialized in not-for-profit board governance training through the Institute of Corporate Directors as well as the public sector governance designation through the Johnson Shoyama School at the University of Regina. Marc is a governance expert and an experienced board member, including the United Way, Bethany Care Society, and Red Deer Regional Airport Authority.
