This page contains links to forms and information for SDC student teams.  You need to provide your uwaterloo.ca credentials to access this information.

General Information

SDC Team Directory - Excel sheet with team emails and team lead, safety captain names. This information should be updated every term.

SDC Room and Vehicle Booking System - This online system is used to view calendars and make bookings for SDC meeting rooms and vehicles. Approval is required before teams can access the system. Once they have been approved and register, teams login to the system using their team email address. 

Security and Stability While Innovating with Students - A PowerPoint presentation by Erick Engelke, Director of IT for the Faculty of Engineering, discussing security concerns for student team computing system. Internal Co-op Posting Guidelines for SDC Student Teams - A summary document containing details for hiring co-op students, including important dates for the W26 term. This material was presented by Cheryl D'Arcy, Accounts Coordinator for Co-op during SDC Team Members Meeting #3, September 24 (recording below) 

Marketting and Communications Summary for SDC Student Teams - A one-page summary of marketing and communications support available from the Dean of Engineering Office for student teams.  This material was presented by Angie Docking, Internal Communications Officer, during SDC Team Members Meeting #3, September 24 (recording below) 

Travel and Vehicles

SDC Travel Form (v.5 Nov. 2024) - This form is to be completed by a team planning to travel as part of their team activities if the trip is 1) more than 24 hours or includes at least one overnight stay or 2) to the United States. You will need to download a copy of this form and edit using MS Word to preserve the formatting.

SDC Vehicle Policies (v3.6 November 2024) - The requirements and procedures for the use of University owned vehicles by students and student teams

Drivers medical instructions (November 2024) - Instructions for student team members to satisfy the medical standards requirement for Class G drivers operating a commercial vehicle in the United States

Outreach

Participant Waiver - General Youth Programs - Sedra Student Design Centre.pdf - Informed consent, waiver of liability and indemnity for high school and elementary school students participating in programs held on campus by SDC teams.  This agreement must be read and signed by a parent or guardian of the participant if the participant is under 18 years of age. Signed forms must be collected and stored securely for at least 1 year following the event.

Dean of Engineering Funding Form | Sedra Student Design Centre | University of Waterloo - An online form for Dean of Engineering funding. Funding is available for official student design teams. Applications are reviewed once/year in the Fall term.
