3D printer
The Sedra Student Design Centre's 3D Print Centre operates two Fortus 360mc 3D printers that can create high-resolution parts up to 14 × 14 × 16 inches. These parts are accurate enough for prototyping and tough enough for service in the teams' vehicles and projects.
This equipment was purchased with a grant from the DENSO North America Foundation.
Engine dynamometer
A Superflow SF902 engine dynamometer system is used in the Engine Test Room to measure power and emissions of the teams' competition engines, including snowmobile engines, race cars engines and street cars engines.
This equipment was purchased with a grant from the DENSO North America Foundation.
Data acquisition
Data acquisition equipment, donated by National Instruments, is used by the student teams to measure temperature, pressure, voltage, and current in their competition vehicles and projects. Portable test and measurement equipment, donated by Agilent Canada Ltd. and the Waterloo Engineering Endowment Foundation are available to the teams for diagnostic work in their workbays and in remote locations.
