On the evening of September 17 between 10 pm and 10:30 pm a female student was walking through the west cul de sac between Village 1 and Mackenzie King Village.  The student was seriously assaulted by two males who then fled. We remind students to be aware of their personal safety and when possible walk with others. Police have increased patrols in the area of the residences.

An arrest of two males, one being a Waterloo student, occurred on July 19^th on Math roadway. University police initiated an investigation when a student reported the theft of his laptop from the Dana Porter Library on July 17^th. The victim was later contacted, asking if he wished to purchase his own laptop back.

With the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Crime Management Team, the two suspects were arrested. Charges include possession of stolen property and possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking.
