U.W.P.S. Crime Report– Week of Mar. 18 to 24, 2014

False Fire Alarm:

• Mar. 23^rd – REV East. At approximately 12:03 a.m. police and Waterloo Fire Department responded to a fire alarm. There was no fire and the cause was determined to be a pull station alarm being falsely activated.

Thefts:

• Cell phone (1):

o   Mar. 4^th –SLC Great Hall, Samsung Galaxy S3, taken from area of Turnkey Desk.

• Lab Equipment:

o   Mar. 12-13 – E2, Room 3353B, three pieces of lab equipment were taken - an oscilloscope, brand name “Aligent”, and two functional generators.

o   The items were secured to a shelf with a wire cable. The cable was cut to allow the removal of the equipment.

Thefts:

• Laptop (1):

o   Mar. 8^th   – DPL 9^th floor study carrel, Apple MacBook taken between 2:00 pm and 2:20 pm.

• Cell phone (1):

o   Mar. 4^th –DCL, Quite Study area, Nokia, taken between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

Vandalism:

Thefts:

• Wallet (1):

o   Feb. 24^th  – PAC, wallet recovered same day but was missing cash from inside

• Gym Bag (1):

o   Feb. 27^th – Outside Room 209, Hagey Hall, navy blue Nike gym bag containing shoes, pants and sweatshirt

• Cell phones (2):

o   Mar. 2^nd – White & Gold Apple IPhone - MC 3^rd floor women’s washroom

Thefts:

• Cell phone (1):

o   Feb 12^th  – CIF, work-out gym,  Samsung S4, white

• Jacket (1):

o   Feb.11^th – CIF, Female locker room, ¾ length, black TNA jacket, with fur hood.

Vandalism:

UWPS are investigating two separate incidents of property being damaged on campus;

On Feb. 15^th UWPS found the exterior door on the east side of ECH had been sprayed with yellow paint.

• Wallet (2):

o   Feb 6^th – C.P.H., 2^nd floor

o   Feb 6^th – PAC,  **wallet recovered same day minus small amount of cash

• Tablet (1):

o   Nov. 11^th (only report this week) - D.W.E. Rm 1501,

• Coat (1):

o   Feb. 6 – Bombshelter Coat check, Ladies TNA, knee length, black with fur on hood. Owner lost coat check ticket, suspect used the ticket to take the coat
