February 2nd Snow Event - What is the UWSA doing?

Your Staff Association has received numerous concerns regarding the University of Waterloo’s decision to stay open during the February 2^nd  snow event.

I have been in touch with the President of the FAUW (Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo), CUPE (Local 793), FEDS (Federation of Students) and GSA (Graduate Student Association) regarding our concerns, and our plan moving forward is to work with the other employee and student groups on campus to bring about positive changes to the weather/emergency closing guidelines.  We discussed the issue at the  February 3^rd 2015 UWSA Board of Directors meeting and I have asked that this topic be added to the agenda for this Friday’s Staff Relations Committee (SRC) meeting.
