SEG is an investment in yourself

In June 2020, Mary Lyn Payerl was awarded Staff Enhancement Grant funds to pursue silversmith training. 

I want to thank the University of Waterloo Staff Association and the Staff Enhancement Grant Committee for approving my request for funds that I can apply toward my silversmith training and home studio setup. 

I have taken silversmith training over the past year through Conestoga College and StudioKW in Kitchener. As well, I have recently invested in setting up a studio in my home.  To do so, requires a lot of essential tools, so the expense is significant and this grant is very helpful to me.

This investment will help me with my goal to further develop my skills and continue to make jewellery products that I can sell online and/or a craft shows through Ontario.  I have set up a website wilddahliajewellery.ca and look forward to creating new products as I develop my silversmithing skills.
