The UWSA is piloting a new system for issuing membership cards. All members will receive a digital membership card, and we’ll gather feedback later this year to decide whether or not to continue.
In the next couple of days, you’ll receive an email from Ticket Tailor (from uwsa@buytickets.at) with your new digital membership card and code, valid until December 31, 2026.
What you can do with your Ticket Tailor membership card:
- Use your membership code to access exclusive tickets and member pricing for UWSA events, including our upcoming Brunch @ Lunch event on May 12, future Drayton shows, and Winterfest
- Access your card and tickets anytime through a self-service portal
- Add your card to your Apple Wallet (Google Wallet users report that clicking "Add to Apple Wallet" works for them too!)
Please note:
- If you already have a 2026 UWSA membership card, it remains valid.
- You do not need to update your membership number with Goodlife; we’ll let you know if that changes.
- Moving forward, cards will be issued automatically for all new members.
- Staff whose roles are no longer eligible for UWSA membership under the 2026 MoA will receive cards valid until August 31, as part of our transition plan.*
- We welcome feedback on using Ticket Tailor through our Suggestion Box. Whether or not we continue using Ticket Tailor, we’ll update members near the end of the year about what happens next.
- Only names and University of Waterloo email addresses are shared with Ticket Tailor. This arrangement was reviewed and approved through the University’s Privacy Impact Assessment process.
* Staff whose membership ended because of new exclusions in the 2026 MoA have access to some of our services until August 31, including advocacy support and discounts. We'll keep you on our mailing lists during this time unless you request otherwise—just email us if you'd like to be removed from this UW mailing list, Mailchimp, or both!
