What kinds of discounts are we talking about?
We have arranged dozens of discounts for members. Here are just a few:

How to access the Confluence space
If you are not already signed in to Confluence, you will only be able to access the home page of our Confluence space. To sign in, click the sign-in button in the top-right corner (alt-text: "Log In"). If you end up on your own Confluence homepage after signing in, simply navigate back in your browser to the UWSA space. Then, click "Enter the members area" to access discounts.
Your membership card
UWSA membership cards are issued through Ticket Tailor* and are valid until December 31, 2026.**
With your card, you can:
- Access exclusive tickets and member pricing for UWSA events, including Brunch @ Lunch, Drayton shows, and Winterfest
- Add your card to Apple Wallet (Google Wallet users report that clicking "Add to Apple Wallet" works for them too!)***
- Access your card anytime through Ticket Tailor’s self‑service portal (be sure to enter your email in the format userid@uwaterloo.ca)
*Only names and University of Waterloo email addresses are shared with Ticket Tailor. This arrangement was reviewed and approved through the university’s Privacy Impact Assessment process.
**For staff whose roles are no longer eligible for UWSA membership under the new MoA, your Ticket Tailor card is valid until August 31, and you can access member ticket pricing until then.
***Note that the Apple Wallet pass doesn’t currently display your membership code. We’ve requested this feature, but in the meantime, look for your code in your email from Ticket Tailor, or a workaround is to take a screenshot, then long-press on the QR code and select “copy” to copy your membership code.
Our partnership with belairdirect insurance
We've had a partnership with belairdirect insurance (formerly Johnson Insurance) for many years that provides members with discounted insurance products and helps to fund UWSA programs and services. In addition to revenues based on members' participation in home and auto insurance plans, belairdirect also sponsors prize giveaways at our annual meeting and other events, and UWSA members' children and grandchildren starting post-secondary education in Canada are eligible to apply for $1,000 scholarships.
