Three awards, valued at up to $1,500 each, are provided annually to support undergraduate students enrolled in second-, third-, or fourth-year of any program who are pursuing a co-op work term outside of Canada. A minimum overall average of 75% is required. Preference will be given to students travelling to an unfamiliar country where they will experience a different culture and to students receiving low salary/compensation while abroad. Interested students are to apply in the term prior to the work experience, by March 15, July 15, or November 15. This fund was established in 1993 by members of the University community to honour Douglas T. Wright upon his retirement as president of the University and to recognize his contribution to the University's international reputation.
