An award, valued at $1,000, will be provided annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four in the Faculty of Arts. Preference will be given to students majoring or minoring in the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies. Students must be participating in an eligible international exchange or study abroad program in a Spanish speaking country (Spain, Latin America, etc.). Interested students should submit an application by July 15. This fund is made possible by a donation from Clifton Kok LLP in memory of Laura Lopez Kok, wife of one of the firm’s partners. Mrs. Kok taught at Waterloo as a sessional instructor and enjoyed much success teaching first-year Spanish courses. This award honours her passion for the learning process, as well as her love of travel.
