Zoey was born in Southern Ontario, and grew up traveling the world and living abroad in Europe, South East Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. These experiences have sparked a passion for community, aviation, and business.

At age 15, Zoey started flying and received her first pilots license at 16 years old. Alongside flying Zoey continued to pursue education and has an Advanced Diploma in Aviation Flight Management, an Associate Degree in Aeronautics, a Bachelors in Science Aeronautics and Aviation Management, and a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Aviation and International Business.

Today, Zoey is a First Officer on a Boeing 777. She is a Professor of Practice serving as the inaugural Pilot-in-Residence at the University of Waterloo as a professor, supporting research, and collaborating with various departments including the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics, among many other responsibilities. She is an avid volunteer having served on multiple non-profit boards, a keynote speaker, and a versatile musician who has performed twice with an orchestra. For her contributions to the aviation industry, she has been recognized by various organizations including her selection as 2023 Top 20 under 40 from Wings Magazine.
