Research interests: This term I am working on a project exploring the metabolic demand of sweeping in the sport of curling. I will be using a portable VO2 measuring device as well as smart shirt technology to collect physiological data and comparing results from each measurement device.
Research: I am currently interested in comparing the vascular profiles of breast cancer patients to healthy age—and sex-matched controls and whether a 12-week exercise program positively impacts the central vascular profile of breast cancer patients.
Research Interests: My research interests include cardiovascular physiology, exercise physiology, and nutrition. Currently, I am investigating how the femoral artery bifurcation adapts to changes in blood flow.
Research: My MSc thesis aims to uncover improvements in cardiac function that may remain undetected under resting conditions by examining cardiovascular responses to physiological stressors, including stress echocardiography and head-up tilt testing.
Research interests: Madeleine is interested in how kinesiology students develop physiological knowledge, technical skills, and clinical reasoning across laboratory and work-integrated learning experiences and how that progression prepares them for professional practice.
