The Water Institute welcomes the newly-elected executive members of the Students of the Water Institute Graduate Section (SWIGS). Made up of volunteers from a variety of disciplines across campus, with very diverse backgrounds, these individuals are brought together by a common interest in water research.

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Water Network (CWN) has developed a Knowledge Mobilization (KM) training program, and will be offering that program to Water Institute members in a 1-day workshop.
The workshop will be held on May 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Waterloo main campus, and will consist of four training modules which are detailed below.

Dr. Priyanka Jamwal, Fellow, Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bangalore, India, will deliver a seminar titled Rethinking the framework for regulating water quality in urbanizing watersheds.
