Water Institute Seminar: Priyanka Jamwal

The Water Institute is pleased to host a seminar by the second of the RBC Fellows visiting Waterloo this term. Dr. Priyanka Jamwal, Fellow, Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Bangalore, India, will deliver a seminar titled Rethinking the framework for regulating water quality in urbanizing watersheds.

The fourth lecture in the Water Institute's WaterTalks Lecture Series features Dr. Susan Hubbard, Associate Lab Director for Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Senior Scientist, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Dr. Hubbard's lecture addresses New approaches for characterizing watershed structure and function.

The final of the 2015-16 Water Institute WaterTalks lecturers is Dr. Prabhakar Clement, Harold Vince Groome Professor of Environmental Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Auburn University. Dr. Clement's lecture is titled: Worthiness of complex groundwater models for decision making - When should we say enough is enough?

Canadian Water Network Knowledge Mobilization training program

We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Water Network (CWN) has developed a Knowledge Mobilization (KM) training program, and will be offering that program to Water Institute members in a 1-day workshop. 

The workshop will be held on May 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Waterloo main campus, and will consist of four training modules which are detailed below.
