Recent master's graduate Evelien Riddell, MMath student James Riddell, PhD student Gengyi Sun, research engineer Michał Antkiewicz, and Professor Krzysztof Czarnecki have won an ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award at FORGE 2026, the 3rd ACM International Conference on AI Foundation Models and Software Engineering.

Dr. Jeremy Wang of Ribbit, a Canadian aerospace startup, will report on their R&D progress towards offering commercial autonomous flight operations.
In person participation in the seminar is encouraged, as Dr. Wang will be presenting in person. Remote participation is possible via the provided zoom link.

Prof. Krzysztof Czarnecki participated in an expert panel on connected and autonomous vehicles and shared mobility organized by the Council of Canadian Academies and sponsored by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).
