Investigations in the use of Web Content Management Systems
Investigations of the Content Management sub-group revealed that a variety of tools and techniques were being used across campus to manage web content. It recommended an investigation into Content Management Systems as a possible improvement in this process.
A charter has been developed and will be reviewed by University Committee on Information System & Technology (UCIST).

Recommendations
The Committee Report (listed above) contained a number of recommendations including the establishment of a project to select a content management systems for the University. This recommendation was accepted by the Web Advisory Committee at its meeting on September 11 and by University Committee on Information Systems and Technology (UCIST) at its meeting on September 12.
Web Content Management Systems Selection
Goal
The goal of the project was to complete a needs and technology assessment of Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) leading to the selection and implementation of a University-supported WCMS in accordance with the content management principles and recommendations of the initial project.
