The Integrity Matters Mobile Application, made possible by an eCampus Research and Innovation grant, is an innovative and interactive app developed to enhance student academic integrity knowledge. The app gives students an overview of the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI) fundamental values of honesty trust, respect, fairness, responsibility, and courage, and gives students an opportunity to apply these values to common scenarios students face.
Academic integrity content in this mobile application extends beyond its utility to University of Waterloo students as the ICAI values have been widely adopted provincially, nationally and internationally. The app has the potential to be adopted and used across many post-secondary colleges and universities. Watch Amanda McKenzie, Director of Quality Assurance at the University of Waterloo, explain how the app will enhance knowledge and understanding of academic integrity at the University of Waterloo and beyond.
Originally developed as a mobile application, the content has now shifted to the University of Waterloo's Content Management System on Open Waterloo. You can access the content by clicking on the text box below. This work is licensed under a CC BY-NC 4.0.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
