SURP Class of 1981's 35th Year Reunion

SURP class of '81

Great reunion, great chats, great memories! Graduates of the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) came together on Saturday, October 29, 2016 to celebrate their 35th year since convocation. Some graduates travelled as far as Vancouver and Montreal to attend the event, as well as several retired faculty.

Science Class of 1990 25th Reunion

Can it really be 25 years?! We remember the first week well – a huge line up in the pouring rain to purchase textbooks, lab coats and of course a dissection kit at the Bookstore!

Coming Together

On October 27, 2014, eight UWaterloo PhD and one BA Psychology grads from the late 1960’s and early 70’s plus partners, held a “mini-reunion” on a plantation house just outside of Nashville, Tenn.

My first Reunion as an Alumni!

Tips for Reunion 2014!

For those of you I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Jenn Bentley and I am the Alumni Officer, Reunions and Events. I coordinate Reunion in partnership with the faculties, colleges and departments on campus to bring one exciting event together for you.

Reunion with International Alumni

In my role with Alumni Relations as the Alumni Officer, International, I have the privilege of working with University of Waterloo alumni around the world.  I witness first-hand the tremendous impact our grads are having not only here in Canada but across the globe too and I am consistently inspired by their talent and tenacity.

Keeping Athletics in the Family

It’s fitting that in our home football and rugby will always be part of our lives since that’s how my husband and I met. Respectively we both played varsity athletics at UWaterloo and we continue to coach at Bluevale Collegiate Institute in Waterloo where we teach.

Learning to stay connected as a future UWaterloo grad

As an undergraduate co-op student, working at the University of Waterloo has given me the opportunity to meet students, staff, and faculty. I get to experience different positions that have allowed me to experience the other side of the University most students don’t get to see. But what happens after I graduate?

Welcoming back the pride

Phew, what an exhausting weekend we had on campus last week! I almost thought about going into hibernation like a bear just to recover from it all. That being said, I couldn’t have had a better time and I love when the pride returns to campus and we can all relive our time together again.  In fact, I keep reliving the weekend with the Storify that was recreated.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

With that title, you’re thinking Christmas, right? You’ve got that jingle in your head: “It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's the hap-happiest season of all!” But here at Waterloo, that’s not necessarily the case. Everyone remembers those times when campus is an eerie kind of quiet. Christmas is just that. So what do I mean when I say it’s the most wonderful time of the year?
