Haddock

Recreation

Leisure
Studies)
is
currently
CEO
of
the
YMCAs
of
Cambridge
and
Kitchener-Waterloo.
With
over
25
years
of
experience
within
Canadian
Ys,
John
is
known
for
expanding
YMCA
delivery
systems
to
positively
impact
more
people’s
lives.
He
has
provided
local,
provincial
and
national
leadership
within
the
YMCA
movement.
John,
who
provides
leadership
to
a
team
of
over
600
staff
and
900
volunteers,
is
continually
inspired
by
the
positive
impact
the
Y
programs
and
services
have
on
participants
and
is
passionate
about
making
a
difference
in
the
lives
of
children,
youth,
adults
and
families.
John
is
also
an
active
volunteer
with
a
number
of
community
organizations
in
the
Waterloo
Region
such
as
the
Immigration
Partnership
Council,
Cambridge
and
north
Dumfries,
the
Social
Planning
Council
and
Waterloo
Region’s
Active
Living
Network.
Globally,
John
also
provides
leadership
and
support
to
the
YMCA’s
movement
in
Africa.
In
2008,
John
received
the
Recreation
and
Leisure
Studies
Distinguished
Alumni
Award.
