University of Waterloo African Alumni Association (UWAAA)
Established in 2020 by a group of skilled and passionate Alumni and community members, UWAAA aims to celebrate and support the career trajectories of University of Waterloo Alumni of African descent.
Our vibrant group has members with lived experiences that make them attuned to the cultural sensitivities at play. UWAAA’s programs and activities include career coaching, mentorship, networking, and advocacy to help make the transition into professional life post-UW easier for all UWAAA members, black students, and the community-at-large. We are looking forward to connecting with as many Alumni as possible!
Led by Odunayo Onifade (MA ’20), Thoko Hanjahanja-Phiri (PhD ’18), Elizabeth Opiyo Onyango (PhD ’19), Jean Claude Mutuku (MPS ’18), Emmanuel Acheta (PhD ’18), and with strong community support from Margaret Mutumba (PhD Candidate).

Waterloo Warriors Football Alumni Committee
The Warriors Football Alumni Committee is a community of former players, coaches and supporters who are reconnecting, promoting and supporting the Warriors Football program. Our purpose is to build a competitive and sustainable football program at the University of Waterloo, while making a positive impact on the lives of current and future players. Our mission is to reconnect with former players to grow the football alumni community, engage the football alumni community through events, newsletters and communications, contribute to the recruitment and the success of future players, support current student-athletes, raise funds for the program to ensure a sustainable future, and document and share our proud heritage. Once a Warrior, always a Warrior.

The University of Waterloo Indigenous Alumni LinkedIn group was established by the Office of Indigenous Relations in the fall of 2021 as a way to begin to build a network. This space is where Indigenous Alumni of the University of Waterloo can meet up, share information, and connect with one another.

Waterloo Warriors Men's Hockey Alumni Committee
The Waterloo Warrior Men’s Hockey Alumni Committee (WHAC) is a group of Warriors hockey alumni and supporters committed to fostering a spirit of belonging. Our committee’s mission is to strengthen the ties between men’s hockey alumni, the current team, the community, and the University. Our vision is to engage with existing and former Warriors men’s hockey players, coaches and support staff that will contribute to the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. Our activities include sharing the latest news about the men’s hockey team through e-newsletters updates and social media posts, hosting events to engage with alumni and friends of the program, and raising funds to support current student-athletes.

Waterloo Warriors Men's Rugby Alumni Supporters Committee
The Men's Rugby Alumni & Supporters Committee is a group of dedicated Warriors men’s rugby alumni and friends whose mission is to engage with the Warriors men’s rugby community through special events, to share the latest Warriors rugby news through the team’s e-newsletter, and to raise funds in support of today’s student-athletes on the field. We encourage you to attend a Warriors rugby game, sign up to receive the e-newsletter, and reconnect and engage with our committee and fellow alumni and supporters to keep our Warriors rugby community connected to the team and sport we love.
