University of Waterloo co-op students are fast learners and can multi-task and shift priorities quickly. These skills were just what the University Health Network (UHN) needed to help implement their new health information system from Epic, with a project called Synapse. The hospital hired 114 UWaterloo co-op students for this transformational project.

Waterloo's Co-op for Community program, which greatly benefits the community and non-profit organizations as well as students, was highlighted by City News Kitchener on April 17.

Co-op for Community is a unique partnership between United Way Waterloo Region and the University. The donor-funded program creates meaningful co-op jobs to work at local non-profits in Waterloo Region that need talent.
