Biography Summary
Professor Maud Gorbet is Chair of the Committee for Biomedical Engineering, and has led development of the undergraduate program from its first consideration through to final approval. Her desire to create this program is a reflection of her research, which focuses on problems of biocompatibility with biomaterials and biomedical devices.
By better understanding the interaction of biological and biomaterial systems at the cellular level, Prof. Gorbet hopes to reduce the risks of complications and failures resulting from incompatibility.
