Biomedical Engineering at the University of Waterloo

Having run a highly successful Biomedical Engineering (BME) Undergraduate Program for the last 10 years, the Faculty of Engineering has a new graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering beginning 2025. 

Excellence in Biomedical Engineering research and education meets innovation in this program. Students are prepared to tackle today’s healthcare challenges with cutting-edge training at the intersection of biology, medicine, and engineering. Join us to explore groundbreaking research opportunities, collaborate with world-class faculty, and pave the way toward a future in biomedical innovation. 

This program is a partnership with three engineering departments: Systems Design Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
