Work term presentation

Students in Biomedical Engineering (BME) must complete a work term presentation in their 4A term as part of their degree requirement. The presentation is submitted via the course BME400.

In BME400, students will share their co-op experiences in a concise, informative 4-minute presentation using 3 slides (PPT). The presentation will reflect on their life-long learning journey to date, as developed through their cooperative work experience. The presentation provides an opportunity for students to effectively communicate and reflect on their engineering experience gained during their co-op work terms. Students will draw connections between the theoretical aspects of engineering taught in the classroom and the practical applications of that theory in the workplace. BME 400 is 0.13 credit course and students received a grade of 95 (A+), 89 (A), 75 (B), 65 (C), or 38.  Students receiving a 38 will be required to complete BME 400 in their 4B term

Instructions related to presentation format and scheduling are provided on the BME400 LEARN site. Students will be automatically enrolled into the LEARN site and it will open on the first day of class.

Additionally, students are required to complete PD11: Processes for Technical Report Writing to fulfill the BME program coop technical report requirement.
