The Can-Peat project consists of numerous activities led by researchers across Canada designed to meet the overall project goals. These activities cover peatland research topics including carbon stocks mapping, Indigenous data sovereignty, modelling disturbance matrixes, and greenhouse gas emission reductions from management. To ensure we maintain good science and ethical practices, research efforts will be supported by two committees: the Indigenous Advisory Council and the Science and Policy Advisory Board.
