Get prepared for medical school

Are you interested in pursuing a career in medicine? We can help you access information related to applying to medical school, including academic prerequisites and other admissions requirements. As a potential medical student, you will likely have to take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).

If you are applying to medical school in Ontario, we can help you to make sure that you meet the requirements of the Ontario Medical School Application Service (OMSAS). Similarly, if you plan to attend medical school in the United States, we can help you to become familiar with the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) and its requirements.

Will CR/NCR affect my further education?

Your credit (CR) vs non-credit (NCR) status in a course at Waterloo may influence your admission into future educational programming. However, that depends on the program or school that you plan to attend. For further information, you will need to do research and consider how your prospective course of study calculates student averages or GPAs, and the impact of CR/NCR courses on your overall average.

If you have more questions, you can attend a drop-in session with one of our further education specialists.
