How to book an appointment or drop-in
Log in to WaterlooWorks using your WATIAM credentials
- Select Appointments from the navigation menu
- Select the type of appointment module you would like to book:
Note: Some individuals may have more than one active WaterlooWorks (WW) account. For example, if you are an alum and an active student you will have two accounts. If you are an active student, use your student account (student ID) to log in to WW to book student appointments. To book alumni appointments, use your alumni account (student id - ALUM).
Attending an appointment
After booking your appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with more information on how to connect with your career advisor. Bring any digital or hard copies of documents you'd like reviewed as well as other relevant materials (i.e., job descriptions, résumé and cover letter, etc.).
If your appointment is virtual, it will appear in the Today's Webcam Appointments and/or Interviews widget of your Dashboard when you log into WaterlooWorks. When you click View you will see your upcoming Webcam interactions.
Ten minutes prior to your appointment time, the relevant Join button will become active and you may click it to begin your appointment (note: you may need to wait for your advisor if you are early)
For the best experience, use Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers on a laptop or PC. Disable any ad blockers or add-ins.
Congratulations! As a Waterloo Alum, our alumni career advisors are available virtually for individual appointments. You'll receive the first three hours of appointment time free of charge.
Additional appointments will cost $40 per hour.
