Kierra Young (she/her)

Hello! My name is Kierra (she/her), and I’m a Career Advisor on the undergraduate team here at the Centre for Career Development (CCD). I support students through co-op navigation, one-on-one appointments, workshop facilitation and customized programming. I’m also the course instructor for Co-op Fundamentals for Engineering (CFE)!

I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology at McGill University before diving into a career in youth engagement and event planning. I’ve been working in student-facing roles on campus since 2018 and feel incredibly privileged to be able to connect with and support our brilliant and inspiring students on a regular basis. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to grapple with career uncertainty and how deeply intertwined career and job satisfaction are with our own wellbeing and identity.

I aim to support students where they’re at and provide a safe(er) space for folks to navigate the complexities of the job search/ co-op process. Outside of work, I’m an avid crafter and maker and a big fan of community events, going to the market and riding my bike.
