Join EDGE and CCD for the Fall 2025 Volunteer Fair! 

This event offers students an opportunity to meet local organizations that are recruiting volunteers.  

Representatives from 30 local organizations will be present to speak with current students about their organization's mission and volunteering needs. 

Volunteering is a great way to develop skills and gain experience that can be showcased on a résumé and discussed in an interview. For those looking to give back to the community, it is a fulfilling way to contribute to local causes. It also provides an excellent opportunity for networking. 

This is an in-person event in the SLC Great Hall and no registration is required. If you have any questions about this event, please email careers@uwaterloo.ca

Are you getting ready for co-op? Unsure where to start? Learn more in this workshop for graduate students from all faculties who are preparing to find their first co-op job. In this workshop, we will answer questions such as: How does co-op work? How do I contact my co-op advisor? How and when should I start looking for jobs?

You are invited to the largest job fair of its kind in the country!

Partnerships for Employment (P4E) is a partnership between the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Guelph and Conestoga College. P4E hosts a Job Fair each fall and winter. This fair will have over 100 employers in attendance. To attend the fair, please register on Portal, ride the shuttle bus to Bingemans, and bring your WATcard and copies of your resume. 

Wondering how to prepare for P4E, start a conversation with an employer, or how to follow-up after the fair? Attend the Preparing for the P4E Job Fair workshops on September 16 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. OR September 17th from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can register for these workshops on the Career Centre Events calendar on WaterlooWorks or Portal.

Are you applying for a faculty/lecturer/postdoc position? In this interactive workshop, you'll learn how to prepare an effective curriculum vitae (CV) as well as how to write a professional and compelling cover letter for academic positions.

Understanding your skills and how you want to use them is a big part of the career decision making process. In this workshop, we will engage in a few reflections to help you identify skills you're gaining from your grad studies and postdoc and how those might influence your career choices.
